I teach American Studies and People and Politics at Hilhi in Hillsboro Oregon. I have been lucky enough to be selected to be a part of a study trip to experience modern Saudi Arabia from December 8th - 22nd of 2008. I will attempt to update this blog with stories and pictures as often as I can!

Hey Mista Bliss Sir!!
This is Jessi and Pia...we are partying it up at Jessi's house! We ate some pie and hot coco, and Pia tried soy milk for the first time! Yum yum!!
Well we are super glad you're still alive and we wanna see pictures for sure. Mr. Cleveland is a cool dude, but we miss you a ton!
Haiku:
The land of Saudi
Hosts Aramco, and you too
Steal some oil
(last line is read like 'Stee-al some oy-l)
We hope you're havin' a rad-tastic and totally beasty time over there, like us.
PEACE DUDE!

Excellent! I am happy to see you have completed the mission of procuring a baby camel to serve as our social studies mascot. I am assuming the woman pictured is leading the camel into an approved international camel-shipping area. Mr. Flitcroft has volunteered to devote a portion of his room to serve as a baby camel stable, and Mr. Barnes has volunteered to be in charge of the "mess." I will groom the camel on a biweekly basis. All you have to do is make sure s/he gets here healthy, happy, and ready to represent the wonderful social studies department of Hilhi. I'm glad to see you are having a good, and very successful, trip. Word.
